The Humane Society of Pinellas, Inc. is getting ready for the 2010 Baseball Season. Bark at The Ball Park has become a traditional event held at Bright House Field, 601 Old Coachman Rd. in Clearwater. Thanks to the Clearwater Threshers, HSP has been given FOUR (4) games this year! Sunday, Apr. 11, will kick off the 2010 season hosted by the Clearwater Threshers vs. the Dunedin Blue Jays. The gates to the field will open at noon for a 1 p.m. game time. Be sure to come early enough to visit with our vendors, socialize with other animal lovers and get your pet signed up for the “EST” Pet Contest that will start during the 1st inning looking for most extreme in a creative category of your choice such as the laziEST, drooliEST, and curliEST. There will be the famous Chinese Ruffable Raffle Baskets offering great gift bundles, event T-Shirts for sale and ADORABLE ADOPTABLE PETS! Bright House Field will have their usual amenities available: Frenchy’s Tiki Bar and Home Run Concessions. The end of the game offers you a chance of a lifetime as you are invited to run the bases with you dog!
Watch for your postcard in the mail or pick one up at HSP until Apr. 10 for an opportunity to be included in a new season long raffle event. You will need to bring this specific postcard to the raffle table at each game for the signature “punch”. On Jun. 27, at Bark at the Ball Park IV, HSP will collect the cards that are surrendered with all 4 dates marked for a Grand Raffle! Tickets start at $4 for humans and dogs, further ticket information available at 727-467-4457.
